Frequently Asked Questions
Can my staff bypass the Android kiosk mode?
No. When Drylaun is set up in Android kiosk mode (device owner mode), the Home and Back buttons are disabled. Staff cannot exit the app, switch apps, or access phone settings. Even if the device is restarted, Drylaun automatically reloads in locked mode.
Do I need to root the Android device?
No. Drylaun uses the official Android Enterprise Device Owner API to enable kiosk mode. Rooting is not required, and your device warranty remains safe.
What happens if I forget my admin PIN?
If biometric security is enabled, you can unlock the Admin Panel using your fingerprint and reset the PIN instantly. This ensures secure access without compromising device control.
Does kiosk mode prevent access to other apps?
Yes. Once activated, the device is locked to Drylaun only. Users cannot open other apps, install software, or access system settings without admin authentication.
